You don’t need to purchase these to be able to check your bags into the porters, however, these are handy because you don’t need a stapler to staple your luggage tags to your luggage. You do want to be careful with these because if they get detached from your bag, then your bag won’t be waiting by your room. I find these helpful, especially when coming from a land to sea vacation.
